We are finished with our first week of sea turtle nesting season. Waties has not seen any action, yet. The State of South Carolina as of this morning has recorded 7 nests, 6 Loggerhead and 1 Leatherback. So far there have been only 6 False Crawls.
Since there has not been any sea turtle action to report, just going to share the beauty of Waties Island.
The Waties Island Sea Turtle Monitoring Program is covered by SCDNR Permit MTP500 and sponsored by Coastal Carolina University.
